RESIDENTS in Prescot have been hit by a power cut.
Scottish Power said the next available engineer will be sent after the "unexpected" loss of power in the area this morning, Tuesday.
The power cut is affecting properties around the area of Mitchell Road, and nearby.

In a statement, Scottish Power said: "There is a power cut affecting the L34 postcode area of Prescot.
"We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 10.36 am.
"Our next available engineer will attend site to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply to be restored by 1.45 pm.
"If you require any further help or support, please call us on 105.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience".
