FRIDAY night saw an evening of great celebration as community heroes and high achievers were recognised at the 11th annual Pride of St Helens Awards.
The event, held in the 1873 Lounge at Saints' Totally Wicked Stadium, saw 14 awards given out on the night.
Darts world champion Michael Smith, who reached the sport's summit last January at Alexandra Palace, claimed the headline Mikhail Hotel & Group Pride of St Helens Award.
There were many inspirational and touching stories heard on the night as the enduring legacy of Steve Prescott, whose brainchild the Pride of St Helens Awards night is, was continued.
Broadcaster Claire Simmo was the MC on the stage for the night, organised by the Steve Prescott Foundation.
