HERE is a look at the hour-by-hour forecast for St Helens as the town has been hit by the strong winds of Storm Debi.
Gusts have been blowing across the area of up to more than 50 mph.
The windy weather is set to continue into the early evening when the gusts are expected to start to drop off in intensity.

4pm: Wind gusts: 51mph Temperature: 12 degrees
5pm: Wind gusts: 46mph Temperature 11 degrees
6pm: Wind gusts: 41mph Temperature: 11 degrees
7pm: Wind gusts: 37mph Temperature 11 degrees
8pm: Wind gusts: 32mph Temperature: 11 degrees
9pm: Wind gusts: 33mph Temperature 11 degrees
10pm: Wind gusts: 32mph Temperature: 11 degrees
11pm: Wind gusts: 20mph Temperature 11 degrees
The Met Office has said that "Storm Debi has the potential to bring very strong and disruptive winds on Monday".
The warning came into effect at 4am this morning, Monday, and will remain in force until 6pm tonight.
Forecasters have said that injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible and some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen.
Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible and some roads and bridges could close.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Storm Debi is expected to develop and move across Ireland and northern England on Monday.
"Whilst there is still some uncertainty in the exact track and depth of this low, there is a chance of very strong westerly winds developing along Irish Sea coasts of Wales and northwest England on Monday morning before extending inland during day, slowly easing later.
"There is a chance of 60-65 mph gusts developing inland and 70-80 mph around coasts, and over some higher ground, such as the Pennines."
