A GROUP of youths threatened and spat at staff at a village business, police say.
Officers say the incident happened in Rainford on Thursday.
Police have said which business was affected.
But they did add there were reports of the youths attempting to damage property.
In a statement, police in St Helens said: “Are your children hanging around in Rainford or have they been, in the last hour?
“If so, find out what they have been up to!
“We have received a report from a business premises in Rainford of youths attempting to damage property, threatening and spitting at staff and causing a general nuisance.
“We are particularly keen to speak with a long curly haired boy aged around 16 years old who is in possession of a glass hammer.
“CCTV enquiries are currently ongoing.”
