SPOOKY season is well and truly upon us with Hallowe'en themed decorations popping up on streets across our town .

Over the years, decorating homes for October 31 has grown in popularity, with one resident, Louise Edelstein from Crow Lane West in Newton-le-Willows once again pulling out all the stops to transform her house into a scene from Netflix's hit show Wednesday.

Past décor at her home has included turning her garden into Hawkins with a Stranger Things themed Hallowe’en – complete with Vecna - as well as Jeepers Creepers and a Monster House.

Louise, who owns V&L Kitchen Wraps, said: “I just love Hallowe’en, I always have and I think it’s so much fun.

“Loads of people have said I should move to America where they love decorating homes like this but I love it in England too much so I’ve just had to do my own thing here.

St Helens Star:

“My husband builds it all and I paint everything, the kids get involved too. house).

“Last year we raised money for a charity (Manchester-based Sedulo Christmas Toy Appeal) which gives underprivileged children Christmas presents they won’t otherwise have and we raised £780 which gave 10 children a Christmas they will never forget.

“I love the fact that all the parents on the school run are taking bets about what this year’s theme will be and I’m happy to say that it’s themed like Netflix’s Wednesday.

St Helens Star:

“We've been preparing for ages, we have the gigantic window from the series, a giant electric chair, mannequins of Wednesday and Enid as well as a light up portal to hell and a 15 ft spider and web.

“My friend has come down from Scotland to help us set it all out in time and we are so excited for everyone to see it.

“We are once again raising money for the charity we did last year and people can donate by dropping money into our letter box or via the fundraising link.

“Our kids are both excited and the teenagers are a bit mortified, but we love it and if it can help others then all the better.

“We hope more people get involved and decorate their homes.

“People have travelled across the North West to see our displays in the past, so I hope this one will draw people in too.”
