ONE of St Helens' biggest nightclubs is set to reopen after an "exciting" refurb that aims to secure its future.

Launching 15 years ago, Imperial Bar and Dancefloor has seen countless revellers come through its Ormskirk Street doors over the years; from those setting out on their first nights out and growing into their 20s and 30s with the nightclub.

While the four-storey club has been one of the most popular places to visit on a night out, the business suffered from forced closures during the pandemic and the uncertain patterns that followed.

Following a refurb to address this and ensure the club is a must-visit venue in St Helens, Imperial Room's 'grand reopening' will take place with a huge event on Saturday, October 7, complete with music, dancers, lasers, and confetti.

With a makeover across the building's four floors, Imperial will also boast some new DJs in the club's new era, as well as a new R'n'B section where it will host weekly DJs and musicians.

The indie room, The Church, will continue its usual operations with live music each weekend, while a more intimate clubbing experience will take place at the Terrace with a private bar and old school house and dance tracks.

There will also be a collaboration with next door neighbour The Secret Garden cocktail bar, as well as "many exciting plans" in the weeks leading up to Christmas, including themed nights, dancers, and live music performances.

A spokesperson for Imperial said: "It’s been a huge 15 fantastic years since we first opened Imperial Bar and Dancefloor.

"In that time we’ve had some absolutely amazing times - we’ve seen hundreds of regulars and staff grow from 18-year-olds right into their 30s - these have become our Imperial family and we are so grateful for every one of them!

"Since the pandemic, we have struggled to keep afloat, as many businesses’ have, so we have recently taken the time to acknowledge what we can do to bring back the epicness of what is the only nightclub in St Helens!

"We’ve made it our mission to make the nightclub scene great and safe again for all ages.

"We are inviting everyone this Saturday to please come support us on the re-opening for a massive party!"
