A FAMILY business that has consistently recieved five-star reviews has been named in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide on Trip Advisor.

Launching by Andy Orgill in 2017, Verona Kitchen & Bar has become a staple of Newont-le-Willows' high street and is consistently rated as the area's number one restaurant on Trip Advisor.

Despite dealing with the effects of the pandemic and cost of living crisis, its positive reviews have also earned them a prestigious 'Traveller's Choice' award from Trip Advisor for three years on the bounce.

The awards shine a light on the highest-rated establishments across the world, and Verona's third consecutive win has earned them a place on the travel website's top 10% restaurants globally.

Speaking about the award win, General Manager Chris Myers said: "We're always pushing for positive reviews by providing the best food and customer service that we can.

"I give the staff incentives to strive for 'employee of the month' and I can't fault any of them for their hard work.

"I took over as General Manager from May and we had a new head chef in June, and I didn't think the business could get any better than it already was, but this award shows that it has.

"To win three Traveller's Choice awards and be recognised in the top 10% in the world is just unreal."

With Verona relaunching with a whole new menu back in 2021, new head chef Adam has continued with what worked in the Italian restaurant while placing his own fresh twist on the popular meals and specials.

There is a focus on cooking high-quality ingredients fresh each day at the High Street restaurant, with a range of traditional pasta dishes, Neopolitan wood-fired pizzas, sandwhiches, Sunday roasts, and changing specials on offer.

Following the success of Verona, the management team decided to expand into Ashton-in-Makerfield last year and launched a speakeasy bar called The Cellar last November.

With reams of positive reviews for both venues, Chris emphasised that the team will "continue doing what we're best at" and provide the highest quality meals to retain their high standards and growing reputation.

Verona also has 'kids eat free' offers at weekends, pizza and 'date night' deals, as well as an upstairs bar, function room, balcony, and beer garden.
