A MAN has been charged after reports that he broke into a house and attacked a woman in Prescot. 

Police were alerted to calls of a disturbance at around midnight on Monday, September 4, where a man was reported to be making threats at a woman inside her home in Prescot.

It was reported that the man broke into the house and caused damage to the property before he attacked a woman who tried to stop him.

Jamie Renshall, aged 37, of Johnson Avenue in Prescot has been charged with a number of offences. 

He has been remanded into custody and appeared yesterday (Wednesday, September 27) at Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court. The case has been sent to Liverpool Crown Court.
