THE shortlisted nominees for the 2023 St Helens Borough Business Awards have been revealed.

Organisers St Helens Chamber and St Helens Borough Council say this year’s level of entries was extremely high.

Judges spent hours deliberating and were extremely impressed with the achievements of the individuals and businesses across the borough.

They say the "shortlisted candidates represent an extraordinary group of individuals and organisations that have demonstrated their dedication to driving progress and making a meaningful impact throughout St Helens".

David Marnell, director of business services at St Helens Chamber, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the volume and calibre of entries to the awards, and we are extremely excited to announce this year’s shortlist.

"All the businesses and students who entered should be proud of their achievements and successes as this event promises to showcase the talent, innovation, and excellence across the region.

“We are excited to see the winners revealed at the awards evening and bring their stories into the limelight.”

Cllr Kate Groucutt, cabinet member for Business, Education and Skills at St Helens Borough Council, commented: “It is fantastic that so many businesses and students across St Helens Borough have achieved so much and we can’t wait to celebrate their success.

“By celebrating their successes and shining a spotlight on the entrepreneurship and innovation that is happening in our borough, we can inspire the next generation and encourage more businesses to set up or relocate here

" Everyone who entered should be proud of the contribution they are making to our community.”

The St Helens Borough Business Awards - which are sponsored by Brendon International, and supported by Faun Zoeller, Lucam Consultancy, Glass Futures and Torus - are designed to recognise and celebrate the success and accomplishments of individuals and businesses from all sectors.

The winners in each category will be unveiled at an awards ceremony, taking place on Friday, October 20 at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

St Helens Chamber alongside St Helens Borough Council have chosen Mission in the Economy,  which deliver the St Helens Mobile Food Pantry as this year’s spotlight charity.

Both organisations are encouraging those attending to bring along a donation on the night to support those struggling in the community.
