A FAMILY bakery operating out of a converted horse truck has had great success since launching earlier this month.

With a long-held dream of launching his own cafe, Joey Dawber had been searching for the perfect place to start his first food business.

As space became available at Catchdale Moss Farm, next to the Dog Barn shop and training facility, Joey decided the time was right to launch 'Petite Paris Bakery' with his sister Grace.

With Grace operating as the business' star baker, Petite Paris has a mouth-watering menu including Chocolate Orange Millionaires Shortbread, Cheesecake Stuffed Croissants, as well as a selection of muffins, brownies and coffees.

Many of these products have been an instant hit in their opening weeks, while Joey's savoury Salt 'N' Pepper sausage rolls have been a particular highlight as they have already sold out on many occasions.

Joey, who also runs his own graphic design business, said: "I've always thought about opening a cafe and have been looking for the right place for ages.

"The Dog Barn gets a lot of footfall due to the back-to-back dog training there, so once it was offered to us, we thought it was a perfect place to start.

"Things have been going really well so far and people seem to love the sausage rolls because they have been flying out."

With Joey and Grace both working full-time jobs, Peite Paris Bakery currently operates from Friday to Sunday at the farm.

However, with aims to continue growing the bakery, Joey said he will keep a keen eye on what products customers like in order to expand the family business' menu and reputation.
