ORGANISERS of a concert have warned fans about a scam circulating on social media.

Fans have been warned that a competition on social media to win tickets to meet Nile Rodgers and Chic at Haydock Park is fake.

They will be performing at the racecourse this Friday.

Organisers of the concert released a post on Facebook informing fans that there is an account asking Nile Rodgers and Chic admirers to input bank details to claim meet and greet tickets for the event.

Haydock Park has told fans to not respond to the post and has recirculated its own legitimate competition to win tickets.

To enter the competition, fans have to buy hospitality tickets for the event.

Nile Rodgers is a co-founder of Chic and has written, produced and performed on records that have sold more than 500million copies worldwide.

Chic are responsible for hits including Good Times and Le Freak, and Rodgers has also written and produced music for Diana Ross, Duran Duran and David Bowie.nath
