A MAN was taken to hospital following a serious crash on the Rainford Bypass over the weekend.
A road traffic collision was reported on the Rainford Bypass at around 12.40pm on Sunday, July 2.
Emergency services including the police and ambulance service attended the scene and found a motorbike and a Ford Mondeo had collided near the junction of St Helens Road and Inglemoss Drive.

Witnesses reported that the motorcycle was badly damaged and that the rider received treatment on the roadside.
Merseyside Police have since confirmed the details of the collision and stated that the rider of the motorbike, a man in his 40s, suffered a wrist injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Bypass has been a cause for concern for residents after numerous serious and fatal collisions have been reported on the stretch of road towards the East Lancs.
However, the motorcyclist's injuries are not believed to be life-changing and no other injuries were reported.
