A MAN has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a family-run village farm after police raided an address earlier this week.

As the Star previously reported, the owners at Bridge Farm on News Lane, Rainford, were left "shocked and upset" after the premises was broken into in the early hours of Friday April 14 this year.

The Star reported that police had arrested a 30-year-old man on Tuesday, June 20, in Kirkby in relation to a burglary in St Helens in April.

Merseyside Police has confirmed that the arrest was in connection with the burglary at Bridge Farm.

Officers received a report of a burglary that happened at around midnight at a property on Bridge Farm, on News Lane in the early hours of April 14.

A 30-year-old man from Tower Hill was arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary following a warrant at an address in Kirkby on Tuesday.

He has since been bailed with conditions, police say.
