A MAN has been charged with arson after several skips at a recycling centre were set on fire on two separate nights.
Police said that a suspect had reportedly "rooted through" the skips at the Veolia Recycling Centre, in Newton le Willows.
Officers said that several of the skips were set alight on two separate nights at the tip on Junction Lane, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Police arrested a suspect, who was spotted by staff at the site.
On Wednesday (June 7) officers in St Helens confirmed a man has been charged with arson and has been remanded for court.
