A BEAUTY salon in Newton-le-Willows has been nominated for a business award.
The House of Glam on Newton High Street was selected as a finalist for Salon Team of the Year in the Salon Business Awards 2023, with the team set to attend an awards ceremony in London next week.
The business has been on the high street for nearly a year, with beauty salon owner Lily Cooper thrilled to have been nominated for the prestigious award.
Lily said: "It feels really good; you put in a lot of hard work and sometimes you can feel like you’re not getting anything so to hear that is really nice that other people notice what we do.
"It’s nice to feel that the salon is worth an award and even if we don’t win it doesn’t matter because it’s still an experience."
The 25-year-old set up her business at home in 2019 before securing the salon’s current premises on Newton High Street in June last year.
The team will head to London for the awards ceremony on Monday, June 5.
