A NEW fast-food restaurant has opened in Newton-le-Willows.

Zerizza, a peri peri chicken and pizza fast food restaurant and takeaway, officially opened on Newton High Street today, Wednesday.

The Nandos-style eatery with an Asian twist is an addition to Abdul Rouf’s chain of businesses in the area, as the owner also owns Amans restaurant on the high street and Good Burgers in Earlestown.

Johnny Haque, one of the business partners, added: "It’s a relief; in March we started to work on it and it was one thing after another with delays, but to get it to this stage at this time is a huge relief and I can’t wait.

"For what we’ve achieved, it’s turned out incredibly well.

"It’s been great; we’ve had people already coming in and out asking for menus and a lot of customers have been looking forward to it.

"I don’t think there’s anything like it on the high street so the general public is waiting for it."

Zerizza is located between The Balcony Late Lounge and The House of Glam on Newton High Street.
