A RESIDENT in Newton-le-Willows is in the coronation spirit as she decorated her house for the celebration.
Shell Unwin loves to decorate her home for occasions and decided to trim her Sefton Street house red, white, and blue for King Charles III’s coronation.
The mum-of-two shared how it’s become a tradition of hers to decorate outside her house, with several of her neighbours following suit.
Shell told the Star: "We love to decorate the front garden for any occasion, the neighbours expect it now.
"We wanted to make it nice for the coronation as it's a big occasion and Toby's looking forward to celebrating.
"We hopefully will have a BBQ and afternoon tea."
Businesses in the area have also joined in on festivities with coronation-themed decorations ahead of the weekend.
