A PRIMARY school hosted a music festival following a pleasing rating from OFSTED.
Billinge Chapel End Primary held its annual festival yesterday, Spring Song, which followed the school receiving a GOOD rating from OFSTED.
The festival saw pupils dress up and perform musical tracks from a variety of genres, with parents entertained with music from pop, reggae, rock, funk, and more.
Craig Hewitt, headteacher, said: "We celebrate music in this way each year so that our children are exposed to a wide range of music genres and have the chance to perform and have fun.
"The event was amazing; days like today make life-long memories for our children.
"This year's performance had the added bonus of us celebrating receiving a GOOD rating in all areas of our recent OFSTED report.
"We are thrilled with our OFSTED result."
The report described the primary school as being 'a warm and welcoming place' where 'pupils feel safe because of the excellent relationships that they have with adults who work at the school'.
Parents and carers have also shared how they feel 'overwhelmingly positive' about the school and their child's education.
An open morning is scheduled for Friday, May 19, for parents and carers who would like to visit the school and meet staff and children.
