A RESTAURANT has received a five-star food hygiene rating in its first inspection since opening.

Shakey J's Family Dining in Newton-le-Willows opened its doors in January and quickly became a family favorite in the community.

Following its debut months on Newton High Street, the restaurant had its first inspection and bagged a five-star food hygiene rating, the highest possible rating.
