THE owners of a new restaurant in Newton-le-Willows have shared how the business is going after its first month.

Shakey J's Family Dining opened on Newton High Street in January, as the six-year-old business moved to its new site with a total rebrand.

The business moved from its original base down the street into the former Chouxchouxbedoo cafe.

Claire Maguire, co-owner of the new diner, said: "It's been amazing. We’ve been so lucky to have the support of the community and the reviews have been great.

"It’s been really well received; exactly what we envisaged for a family dining restaurant.

"It’s really strange because we were at the old premises for six years and I cried thinking about leaving, but now we definitely don’t look back.

"This one definitely feels like home already."

The family-friendly diner is fit for all ages as it offers Shakey J's signature milkshakes and sweet treats, as well as Chouxchouxbedoo classics including hot drinks and a breakfast menu.

The diner also serves mouth-watering dishes including burgers and loaded fries.

Shakey J's former premises will see a new business take its place.
