AN INDIE band who have built a strong reputation for themselves have released a new single in anticipation of a nationwide tour.

Forming in 2017, Earlestown four-piece The K's have released 'Hoping Maybe' as part of a bold five-single release schedule.

Released before a huge 12-date UK tour in March, the schedule of singles will culminate with a digital and physical album release in November.

Of the slow-tempo new track, vocalist Jamie Boyle said: “Out of all of the tracks I’ve written, I think “Hoping Maybe” means the most to me.

"It adds another level of intimacy to our live show, and there is something special in the way we connect with the crowd every single time we play it.”

After after a ceaseless year of touring, the four-piece has been bunkering down in a studio close to their Earlestown base to record the new releases.

Gaining a strong following and reputation over the years, The Ks have headlined huge gigs at venues such as the Ritz in Manchester and The Leadmill in Sheffield, as well as gaining slots on the bill at Neighbourhood Weekender, Isle of Wight, and Reading and Leeds Festivals.

As well as this, the Earlestown rockers have secured major support slots for acts such as James and Liam Gallagher, while amassing millions of listens on streaming services.

While the K’s are still unsigned at present, they also have caught the attention of one of the world’s biggest music agencies.

The band signed a contract with Solo Music Agency in 2021, which is a London-based promoting agency that represents artists when touring, with partnerships with musical big hitters such as Blondie, James, Iggy Pop, and Phil Collins.

After saying goodbye to their "best friend and brother" Jordan Holden last year, who was the drummer of the band, the K's have a lot to look forward to in 2023.
