PLANS have been drawn up for a skate park at Sherdley Park.
The proposals for the facility at the council-owned park have been listed on the local authority’s planning portal.
They state the proposed skate park would be located adjacent to the car park and other play and gym facilities located close to the access point off Elton Head Road

Plans add: “Design of the equipment has been undertaken in partnership between St Helens Council officials and a Framework contractor specialising in play equipment (Wicksteed Play and Leisure).
“The equipment, surfacing and materials shall be installed to enhance and closely match the existing play provision within Sherdley Park.”
A standard public consultation on plans lasts until Friday, January 13, 2023, with a determination deadline set for February 15.
