A THIRTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with multiple thefts after reports of shoplifting at shops in St Helens.
Officers received eight separate reports of theft from shops and businesses in the town between Saturday, November 19 and Thursday, December 1.
These included thefts from Schooner Wines, on Concourse Way, Parr, Tesco Express, on Vicarage Road, Haydock, and McColl’s, on Fleet Lane in Parr.

On Tuesday, December 13, police arrested and charged Lee Stuart, of Fleet Lane, Parr, with eight counts of theft and possession of a controlled Class B drug.
Stuart, 33, is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, December 15.
