A PROPERTY that has been boarded up is because of "numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour and drug dealing", police officers say.

On Tuesday, November 29, St Helens Community Police Team announced they had obtained a full closure order for a home on 2 Grasmere Close, Haresfinch.

With officers evicting the tenants and boarding up the property, the full closure order means that no one is allowed to enter the address for three months, until the expiry of the order on February 28, 2023.

Community Policing Sergeant Dael Bennison said: “Following reports of persistent anti-social behaviour at the property and evidence obtained by officers regarding drug dealing in the area our Community Policing Team have secured a full closure order at the address.

“This means no one can enter the property unless officers give permission.

“I hope these actions reassures our local community that our officers will tackle the anti-social behaviour and criminality that has been caused from this address.

“We understand the crimes that such behaviour leads to and we’ll continue to work closely with residents and our partners to deal with such problems.

“If you experience any offences in our communities please come forward and speak to us when these issues affect you, for all of our benefit.”
