A NEW GO Outdoors shop is launching in St Helens town centre tomorrow.

Planned to open on Tuesday, November 29, Go Outdoors is opening one of their new 'Express' stores inside the old Millets premises on Church Street.

Millets, an outdoor clothing store that opened in St Helens in 2018, is in process of being rebranded under the GO Outdoors label, with both businesses owned by JD Sports.

There are thirteen new Go Express stores launching across the North West, with the shops designed as compact and convenient high street stores.

While the Express stores will be smaller than the traditional GO Outdoors 'super stores', they will contain the company's popular outdoor clothing brands as well as equipment for camping, fishing, climbing, and cycling.

A full range of stock will also be available for collection via in-store ordering, with the expansion highlighting a successful few years for the retailer.

With St Helens one of three stores opening across Merseyside, John Hinde, Retail Director for GO Outdoors said:

“We are extremely excited and proud to be able to expand GO Outdoors onto the high street in St Helens, and to serve customers within the convenience of their new local store.

“We have had a brilliant couple of years at GO, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental well-being, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.

“The Store Manager is looking forward to offering customers an unbeatable range of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, whilst supporting the local community and high street.”

GO Outdoors has secured fivejobs with their move into St Helens, with the company planning to continue their Express store expansion across the country early next year.

Go Express also has a store locator tool which allows shoppers to locate the closest store to them, which can be found here
