ST HELENS Council has issued parking advice ahead of tonight's (Tuesday) Rugby League World Cup fixture between Tonga and Papua New Guinea.
Parking on the majority of local authority-run car parks will be free from 5.45pm, although there will be £1.50 charge per vehicle for anyone using the Tontine multi-storey.

Hardshaw Centre
The roof top surface car park will be available
Access on foot will be via The Needle staircase onto Hall Street only, after the shopping centre closes Unsuitable car park for customers with mobility problems
Millennium Centre
The car park is for the sole use of patients attending the Millennium Centre only.
Tontine
Car park will be available for matchday parking
Accessibility via the shopping centre lifts will only be available while the shopping centre is open.

Unsuitable car park for customers with mobility problems
The car park will be locked promptly three hours after kick-off time if this falls outside normal operating hours - refer to additional closure signage displayed at the car park when parking.
Vehicles locked on the car park after the advertised closing time will be securely locked in overnight and can be collected on the following operating day at no additional charge, St Helens Council states.
A charge of £1.50 per vehicle (payable at the pay and display machines by cash or card) to cover staffing costs will be applicable for weekday evening games
