A MAN and woman from St Helens are the latest people to be arrested in connection with the death of Ashley Dale.

Ashley Dale, a 28-year-old Environmental Health officer at Knowsley Council, was shot in her back garden in Old Swan, Liverpool, in the early hours of Sunday, August 21.

Since the tragedy, detectives have now made eleven arrests as they try to bring those responsible to justice.

A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from St Helens, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both were taken into custody for questioning and have now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

This follows the arrest of another woman from St Helens, a 48-year-old, who was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All eleven suspects remain on conditional bail or under investigation.

Meanwhile, police are continuing to appeal for information after footage was issued of a car believed to have been driven in the area shortly before the incident was reported.
