A PUB in Newton-le-Willows has announced it’s becoming dog friendly.
The Oak Tree, on Crow Lane East, shared the news yesterday on social media that it will now welcome dogs into its premises.
In a public statement shared on social media, the pub said: "We have finally decided to make our pub dog friendly.
"Dogs are part of the family, so why not come and visit us with them?
"All well behaved four legged friends are welcome and must be kept on a lead inside.
"We look forward to seeing you all."

The news has already been well received, with locals commenting how they look forward to paying a visit with their furry friends.
One commentor said it will "turn out to be the best decision" the pub will have made in a while.
The pub is one of many pubs and bars nearby, including Pied Bull and The Firkin, that welcome dogs.
The Oak Tree is located at the end of Newton High Street and is open everyday from 12-10pm.
