A NEW burger venue is coming to Earlestown next month.

The smash burger and milkshake shop is planned to set up camp on Stanley Street across the town centre’s Market Square.

Good Burgers is hoping to have its launch next month, with a discount for customers in its first week of business.

The new burger shop will be owned by Abdul Rouf, the owner of Amans Indian restaurant on Newton-le-Willows High Street.

Abdul said: "I’ve always had it in my head to do a smash burger place, and during lockdown, I tried it out in my restaurant, and I got a really good response from it.

"Customers were asking me to put it on my menu, but I couldn’t really put it in an Indian restaurant, then I came across a building in Earlestown."

Amans has been opened on the high street for eight years and during the initial Covid-19 outbreak, the restaurant delivered free lunch to a local hospital.

With the multi-million regeneration plans of Earlestown, Abdul believes his new business will also help bring in visitors from out of town to revitalise the town centre.

He added: "I thought I’d introduce something different that the area doesn’t have, like a proper good burger place.

"My target is for people to come in out of town and to get people to think 'there’s a good burger place in Earlestown, let’s go try it'.

"I’ve always wanted to open a burger place and something for the young generation.

"It’s going to be a talking point. I think it’s going to kick off really well as it’s something different."

The business will have a soft launch before opening its doors to the public.
