A RESTAURANT serving Indian and Italian food has opened its doors in St Helens town centre.
Green Olive on George Street has taken over the former Byroney’s Bistro spot, and is serving a selection of authentic Indian and Italian meals from its two chefs who specialise in each cuisine.
The business is owned by Ahmad Faisal from Oldham, who hopes the fusion of the two cuisines under one roof will be interesting to the locals and that the public will venture in to support the new business.
He said: “When the opportunity opened up for us to have a restaurant in St Helens I was very happy, I have heard wonderful things about the town and its friendly people and hope they will enjoy the place.
“We have two top chefs each with lots of experience in their different cuisines, one doing authentic Italian fresh food nd the other doing authentic South Indian dishes.
“It’s something a bit different but we hope you will come and support us and attend our official opening which we postponed out of respect for the Queen’s death and funeral.”
The restaurant adds to the mix of food and drink venues in the George Street area.
