VISITORS will be smitten when they meet some new arrivals at Tatton Park farm.

Rare breed animals are celebrating a baby boom.

Saddleback sister pigs Susie and Skye have given birth in tandem.

It is their first time being mums and their small piglets are adorable.

Golden Guernsey goats Amber and Honey have both given birth to twin goat kids.

Amber has had two girls called Ruby and Sapphire.

Honey is now nurturing two boys called Alfie and Alby.

A dedicated team of employees work hard to protect the rare breed animals on the farm.

And they are now going the extra mile to hand rear a calf who lost her mum.

A spokesman for Tatton Park farm said: “Our Guernsey cow Nancy has had a gorgeous heifer calf who we have called Gracie.

“And we have a lovely Hereford calf called Hetty who very sadly lost her mum so is being hand reared.”

The farm at Tatton Park has Approved Conservation Centre status from the Rare Breeds Survival Trust.

Staff work with the trust who monitor, save and promote UK native livestock.

The farm is hosting a summer programme of special events and activities for families throughout the school holidays until August 26.

Children can meet the chicks, kid goats and all the other new arrivals.

Storytelling, sheep racing, milking demonstrations, a maize made and adventure play area among some of the other attractions.

Taster Tuesdays give visitors the chance to watch cookery demonstrations and discover how fresh farm produce such as ice cream sausages and cheese are made.

The farm is closed on Mondays.

Standard farm entry applies. There is no extra charge for daily events.
