Two Brothers, which opened in the town centre around 12 months ago, is hosting the coffee tasting event in their second St Helens store on Friday, August 5.

After successfully building the Two Brothers brand in Altrincham and Warrington, the team sample and roasts speciality coffee beans from around the world to ensure each of their cups is crafted to the highest quality.

Developing a core client base of coffee lovers, they will use their event to test their new blends, gather feedback from regulars and attract new customers to their specialist coffee brand.

Describing the process of 'coffee cupping' Emma Campbell, manager at Two Brothers said: "Coffee cupping is a technique used by professionals in the industry to detect flavour notes in coffee, and can be used to change the way that the coffee is roasted, to bring out and highlight desirable nuances in the beans.

"It involves creating a ‘cupping liquor’ and then slurping the brew from a spoon, to aerate the coffee, and distribute it over all of your taste buds."
