NEWTON Town Show returns this week for its 10th anniversary year.
The annual event, organised by Newton and Earlestown Community Group, is expected to see around 10,000 people attending.
Ahead of the event, here is all the information needed to secure an action-packed day at the town show.
When and where:
The 2022 show will take place on Saturday from 11-5pm at Mesnes Park in Newton-le-Willows.
Tickets:
Admission is free and ticket purchase is not needed.
Transport and parking:
A bus will run throughout the day and is free to hop on, with several stops on route to the show.

Earlestown Bus Station
Bridge Street
Fairclough Street
Wargrave Road
A loop of Bradlegh Road

There will also be free parking available at WA12 9GP.
Food and drink:
Food and drink stalls will be set up at the show, with several independent bars and restaurants nearby to grab a bite before and after the event.
Schedule:
11am – Town Crier will open the 2022 show (main field)
11am – Performance by St Helens Concert Band (bandstand)
12:30pm – First show by Stannage Stunt Team (top field)
1pm - Boots visit (various)
1:15pm – Punch and Judy (front field)
Approx. 2pm - RAF BBMF Flyover (main field)
2:15pm – Punch and Judy (front field)
2:30 – Second show by Stannage Stunt Team (top field)
3:15pm – Punch and Judy (front field)
Children’s entertainment, arts, and crafts will be on site throughout the day.
