TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a serious altercation.
Police officers were informed of an incindent involving three men on North Road, facing Norman Salisbury Court, St Helens in the early hours of Thursday, June 30.
One of the men was found and taken to hospital with a head injury and puncture wounds to the front and back of his body.
Two men aged 39 and 43 from St Helens were arrested on suspicion of assault.
They were taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning and have since been bailed with conditions.
