POLICE have been involved after a tractor burst into flames in Burtonwood.
One fire engine rushed to a field off Clay Lane in the village at around 3pm yesterday, Monday.
In a statement, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Deliberate ignition is suspected as the cause of a fire involving a tractor in a field off Clay Lane.
“Firefighters put out the blaze using a hose reel jet and informed police of the incident.”
Anyone with any information regarding the cause of the fire is asked to contact Cheshire Police.
