A TWENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD man charged with causing the death of a teenage girl by dangerous driving has made a first court appearance.
Haydock High pupil Courtney Ellis died aged 14 after being knocked down on Blackbrook Road, Blackbrook by a black Renault Megane at about 9.50pm on September 19, 2020.
Brandon Turton, of Borron Road, Newton-le-Willows, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Turton, 21, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 29.

The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where the 21-year-old will next appear.
He was given unconditional bail and will face the higher court on Wednesday, July 27.
