Can you name the players in Saints A team class of 1978/79?
SAINTS A team of 1978/79 enjoyed a fantastic season and here they are sporting the Championship and Lancashire Shield trophies.
Scrum half Johnny Smith skippered the side to the success that season and he was an A team stalwart between 1974 and 1985 although he did make 81 appearances for the first team in that spell.
Plenty of the old heads in this team already had first team experience - but a few of the youngsters would go on to establish themselves in the senior squad.
Among them is a future Great Britain international.
