THIS Hump Day is a cause for celebration for the Bactrian Camels at Prescot’s Knowsley Safari Park.
Not only is it World Camel Day, but the Prescot-based safari’s conservation team have also returned from working alongside the Wild Camel Protection Foundation (WCPF) in Mongolia.

They have been out there helping to protect the critically endangered wild camel (Camelus Ferus).
Less than 1,000 wild camels remain in the wild.
The Knowsley Safari Foundation has also donated £3,000 to the WCPF’s new Breeding Centre in Mongolia.
