A SAINTS fan from Scotland who was diagnosed with terminal cancer got to meet his favourite player Alex Walmsley.
As the Star has previously reported, Hugh Stewart has been having treatment cancer in the bowel and liver for around two years.
However, Hugh, 66, recently received the news that the cancer was terminal.
On his bucket list of things he would like to do is his wish to meet some of the Saints players.
Hugh, who lives in Cupar in Fife, has been a big Saints supporter since he met couple Karen Peers and husband Tony, from Rainford, while on holiday in Cuba around seven years ago.

Earlier this season in March Hugh travelled down to watch Saints beat Warrington Wolves at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
He got to meet several of the players and head coach Kristian Woolf.
Hugh was also invited to the hospitality 1873 Lounge for Saints' home match against Hull KR on Sunday, which they won 26-18.
Hugh described the day as "fantastic from start to finish", and described meeting his favourite player, giant prop forward Alex Walmsley as the "icing on the cake".
Hugh said: "Every one of them was nice, I got taken down to the players and got to go on the pitch, it was tremendous.
"I was looked after from the minute I arrived to the minute I left."
Hugh, dressed in tartan attire, enjoyed the day in the hospitality section, where those present on the day included man-of-the-match Konrad Hurrell and St Helens' Britain's Got Talent runner-up Jamie Leahey.
"I met Konrad after the match and was taken down to the players and Alex Walmsley came walking through the door, I just stopped in my tracks.
"He was an absolute gentle giant, it has just been tremendous."
Hugh, who has travelled back to Scotland today, Monday, says he hopes to be able to travel down to St Helens again to meet Karen and Tony in future.
"I would like to thank Tony and Karen, and also to thank Saints."
