ST HELENS has been selected as one of the locations to host a national charity event.
In June 2022 Safe Families UK will be holding six Jelly Welly Walks across the country, one of which will be in Taylor Park.
Safe Families offer support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of families who are struggling. The national Jelly Welly Walk is the charity’s annual fundraising event, where people walk a mile with jelly in their wellies to raise funds for the work of the charity.
Why Jelly wellies?
For many of the families that Safe Families volunteers get alongside, life is really hard. It’s not always obvious that people are struggling. Imagine seeing someone walking along, and then discovering that their wellies are actually full of jelly, and their walk is so much harder because of it!
The Taylor Park walk will take place at 10am on Saturday, June 25.
Anyone interested in taking part, or in running their own Jelly Welly Walk, can register by visiting safefamilies.uk/jellywellywalk all participants will receive enough jelly to fill their wellies, plus hints and tips on welly care.
