Newton-le-Willows Town Show returns this summer to celebrate its 10th birthday.

The local town show made its comeback in 2013 and has since been well received by members of the public.

The self-funded event is organised by volunteers from Newton and Earlestown Community Group, who wished to bring back the show to Newton-le-Willows.

Debbie Fackey, public relations officers for Newton and Earlestown Community Group, said: “We brought back Newton Town Show in 2013 as a group of volunteers and since then, the show has grown in popularity, year on year, becoming one of the biggest free at entry events in the North West.

“Our volunteers are very much looking forward to welcoming you all once again, in this our 10th birthday year."

Previous events have had stunt shows, skydivers, and monster trucks to spectate.

The show usually attracts around 10,000 people, with attendees able to support the charitable organisation through donations.

Several sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, including sponsoring a small or large attraction and receiving a full page advert in their programme that will later be distirbuted to schools in the town.

To discuss further sponsorship opportunities, contact Newton and Earlestown Community Group or email townshow@necg.org.uk.

The show will take place on Saturday August 6 at Mesnes Park from 11am to 5pm.
