A SUPERMARKET had to be evacuated on Friday (May 20) due to a water leak.
Lidl, on King Street, St Helens, had to be temporarily closed.
A Lidl spokesperson said that as a result of heavy rainfall there was a leak at the store caused by a blocked drainpipe.

The supermarket was temporarily closed as a precaution while remedial works were carried out.
The Lidl store opened as normal on Saturday morning, May 21.
