KYLE Amor leaves Saints for Warrington with four Grand Final rings, a Challenge Cup winners medals and plenty of good memories from his nine years at the club.

The Cumbrian, who turns 35 on Thursday, made 211 appearances in the red vee after joining from Wakefield ahead of the 2014 season.

Signed by Nathan Brown – joining a new-look front row with Mose Masoe, Alex Walmsley and Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook – Amor got off to a fine start with a try on debut in the 38-8 thumping of Warrington.

There was a real bounce in that forward pack, marshalled by new 7 Luke Walsh, in a season that promised much until injuries to key men started to chip away.

Remarkably the injury-decimated side finished top of the pile and defeated Wigan in the stormy ‘Ben Flower’ Grand Final – with Amor winning his first ring.

Amor, who back then had an all-action throw his body into collision style, was a key member of a Saints pack in a time of transition.

Rings number three and four followed – and the icing on the cake for the Cumbrian was the medal that had eluded him.

Amor's last game for the club was in the young team that played at Castleford after Easter.

Amor scored the match sealing try at Wembley as Saints defeated Castleford to win the Challenge Cup for the first time in 13 years.

On leaving he said:“I owe Saints an awful lot. What they have done for me personally and also my family has been great.

"I will always have an eternal bond with the Club as I have had a lot of success there.

St Helens Star:

“That is one thing I am incredibly proud of. I have been able to play my part in those sides which have been able to achieve what they have in one of the most successful periods of the Club’s history.

“It’s a special place for me, but that has got to be put to one side for now and my focus is now on Warrington and getting a job done there.”
