Do you walk to school or work every day?

Do you put on your hiking boots on at the weekend and enjoy some walking exercise?

Would you rather walk than use public transport or sit in a traffic jam?
May is national walking month, organised by the British Heart Foundation, in a bid to get the nation on their feet and raise money for life saving research at the same time.

Physical activity specialist Lisa Young said: “Walking is a fantastic way to keep active and maintain a healthy heart as it is fun, flexible and free.

“By taking part in Just Wal, you can help us to support the seven million people living with heart and circulatory disease in the UK.

“You can walk wherever and whenever suits you and it’s an easy way to fundraise for BHF.”

The slogan for this year’s national walking month is “tell heart disease to take a hike”.

We want you to tell us the best place in St Helens to go for a walk.

Why not share a photograph you took on your favourite walk and encourage others to try the same route?
