THERR has been a closure on the M62 this morning, Saturday, due to an overturned wagon.
The M62 Eastbound is closed due to the accident between Junction four (The Rocket) and Junction five A5080 Roby Road (Huyton).
In a statement at around 6am, North West Motorway Police said: "We currently have the M62 closed in both directions from the Rocket to junction 5 whilst we recover an overturned LGV - this is likely to be a protracted operation - there is no access onto the M62 from Bowring Park".
According to traffic feeds, there is congestion to the opposite side due to onlookers.
However, the westbound carriageway remains open at this time though there are significant delays heading into Liverpool.
The closure eastbound is ongoing as investigations take place.
