PLANS to create a kebab and pizza takeaway at a former nail salon premises have been submitted.

Permission is being sought to change the use of a nail salon to a hot food takeaway on the ground floor at 53 Greenfield Road, Dentons Green.

Applicant Khalil Parvizifard has submitted the proposals.

Plans say the building currently consists of a nail salon on the ground floor, which closed in 2021 and a residential flat at the first floor, which would be retained.

A design and access statement says: “The alterations to achieve this will involve a new shopfront and the addition of an extract flue to the rear of the building.

“No extensions are proposed to the building.”

The application states that, in line with planning policy, there are no schools within 400 metres.

It says the Tasty Corner chip shop is the only other takeaway nearby, with the Sheesh on Duke Street in the town centre, 800 metres away, the nearest ”equivalent takeaway”.

The application adds that two full-time and two part-time jobs will be created. Proposed opening hours are 3pm to 11pm.

Standard consultation on plans lasts until Tuesday, June 7, with a determination deadline set for Friday, July 1.
