Earlestown Cricket Club had a triumphant weekend with both of their teams winning on Saturday.

Etown 1sts and 2nds played against Dalton Cricket Club in the sunshine, with both teams securing a win on the Eton Oval ground.

The Earlestown teams bagged another 40-point weekend during their match against Dalton, leading the 2nds to a second win of the season.

Lancashire Super 9’s, a disability friendly cricket team, also played on the ground on Sunday, and won against North Wales.

Karl Allan, captain of the Earlestown Cricket Club, said: “Another busy weekend at Earlestown Cricket Club with both teams winning on Saturday. The 1sts, despite stuttering with the bat, were dynamic with the ball ripping through the Dalton batting line and the 2nds battling to a well-deserved win at home.

“Great to see so many supporters across the 2 days, enjoying the sunshine.”

The cricket team also received a batch of personalised T-shirts from Wargrave House School & College to celebrate the club’s 140th anniversary.
