A ST HELENS mum-of-two has revealed all about her debilitating illness and how she overcame this to become "unstoppable".

After setting up two successful fitness businesses 'Glow-fit' and 'Heatone Fitness' around Merseyside, Ellen Murray began feeling increasingly unwell after the birth of her two children.

During the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Ellen, from Rainhill, was given the devastating diagnosis that she had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

With Ellen's life revolving around health and fitness, this news "completely changed her life".

The condition, which left Ellen bedridden and "extremely exhausted", forced her to close down her two businesses and she also had difficulties looking after her children.

'Unstoppable', a documentary created by Whiston-based producer Sam Evans, reflects on this challenging period for Ellen and documents how she overcame her problems to turn her life around.

Highlighting the debilitating nature of CFS, the 60-minute documentary shows how Ellen used the diagnosis as an opportunity to become a Mindset and Empowerment Coach.

Using her experience, she now guides clients through their difficulties and teaches them how to deal with and overcome their own problems.

Ellen said: "Getting diagnosed with a chronic illness has been a huge event in my life but I’m so proud of how I’ve handled it.

"This [documentary] shows the raw emotion that talking about this time of my life brought up.

"The full documentary is going to show the journey of getting through it, how I’ve worked on holistic healing and how I help others now."

Describing the documentary as "emotional [yet] powerful and motivating", producer Sam Evans, said: "CFS is an illness which isn’t talked about nearly enough.

"This documentary aims to start a conversation and raise awareness on how detrimental this illness can really be, mentally as well as physically”.

Sam, who has previously worked on local dating series 'Love On The Rocks', added: "Ellen expressed how important it was that this documentary highlighted the positives CFS has had on her life along with the negatives to help show people that there is a way forward."

'Unstoppable' is due to premiere on Truu+ Youtube channel on Tuesday, June, 24.
