A STRING of arrests have been made in St Helens over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Merseyside Police officers have reported that 27 arrests were made for a variety of alleged offences on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1.
A man who gave community police officers a fake name in the town centre was later arrested for a no-bail warrant.
Plain clothed officers also made a number of arrests, including a man on Ellison Drive, Eccleston after he was stopped and searched, and found to be in possession of a quantity of Amphetamine.
Other arrests include on suspicion of drug driving on Bridge Street, possession of a knife on Parr Mount Street, and a stalking offence in Seneley Green.
Another man was arrested for driving offences on College Street.
A youth was also arrested for burglary on Dorothy Street in Thatto Heath, and a juvenile female was arrested for allegedly assaulting an emergency service worker on Dorothy Street, also in Thatto Heath.
