A FOOD and drink chain which is launching a premises in St Helens “soon” is recruiting for staff.

As the Star previously reported, German Doner Kebab is transforming an empty unit at the West Point leisure and retail complex, off Linkway West.

German Doner Kebab is set to open in the former Frankie and Benny's premises and work is currently ongoing to convert the unit.

Signage is on show which reads: "German Doner Kebab, St Helens. Coming soon."

Planning permission for the new signage at the venue requested earlier this year by Gastronomy Foods UK for a German Doner Kebab restaurant and a Planet Doughnut was approved by St Helens council.

It will stand alongside Costa Coffee, Aldi supermarket, Home Bargains and Superbowl on the leisure complex.
